vintage fantasy

This is a piece I did for Artorders concept of the week, but I wanted to put a little something extra into it this week.
I kinda dig this weeks concept and the last couple I did weren't really up to pare.
I wanted to create a vintage looking sci-fi image. Something you might have seen on a book cover during the Asimov era.

The concept pitched was to take a fantasy race and make it all futuristic.
My design is inspired by the Deva, which are a new character class in D&D.

The idea behind my image is that the space station is on a trip deep into the cosmos. The Lord of the station is essentially immortal. When he dies, he is respawned in an ancient shrine contained within the station.
The winged sarcophagus is a personal transport.
The strange hairless cat-like beings look to their master as if he was a god himself and maintain the station while their lord is away.
